Ask Me

Before I read the poem "Ask Me" by William Stafford I actually thought I wasn't going to understand it and find it boring, but I was wrong. This poet basically showed that he had a bond with nature since he describes his life with the river throughout the poem. I would actually recommend this poem to my friends because the poet proves how he had a bond with nature and  this is one of my favorite poem.

Medusa

Before I read the myth of "Medusa" by Louise Bogan I thought it was actually going to be about how she became to be the most terrified ugly creature w/ the snake hair, but after I read it the reader who I believe turn to stone after he saw her was basically letting the reader know what happen to him and the things he won't be able to do any more. I would actually recommend this to my friend especially to my best friend who is into myth stories because they would understand the narrator point of view in this myth.

Young Goodman Brown

Before I read "Young Goodman Brown" by Nathaniel Hawthorne I thought it was going to be like the rest of the stories that I had read. Which turns out that I was right because it was a creepy and confusing story that I didn't quite understand, but there's a part of the story that I actually liked where Goodman Brown thought that he's wife was an angel on earth but turns out that she really wasn't the type of person he thought she really was. I really wouldn't recommend this story to anyone unless they like creepy stories.

The Tell- Tale Heart

I expected "The Tell-Tale Heart" by Edgar Allan Poe was just going to be another difficult story  to understand. But after I started to read it I found it creepy but yet interested how he expressed his emotion towards the old man's eyes. Who knew an eye would lead you to your death. But what got my attention is the way he went more crazy after he killed the old man and cut his head, arms and even legs. Which is beyond insane especially when he started to hear the old man's "heart" when reality it was his own heart that he was listening to.
